Traffic Stuck in Snow | Reigate

At about 3am the whole of West St. in Reigate was at a standstill due to the snow accumulation and the fact that the exit slip for Reigate on the M25 had been closed because of a jackknifed lorry.

There was a tailback and gridlock of articulated lorries and cars on West St. in Reigate. Reigate residents came out to the aid of the stranded drivers. Two of those were the pub landlord of the Red Cross pub and his manager, who used a shovel, broom and huge bucket of salt to clear the junction of West St and London Rd.

Air Ambulance – Reigate

Every time you see something like this, firstly you thank God that you may never have to rely on their skill and professionalism, secondly that the person whose rescue they came to today, will be OK due those same qualities.

Here is the air ambulance taking off surrounded by office buildings and shops in Bell St, Reigate.

Homage to Henley in the Outback

Henley-on-Todd

“The Territory’s longest running iconic event!”

From http://www.jetsettersblog.com/blog/index.php?s=australia

The Territory’s longest running iconic event, this is the outback’s answer to Henley-on-Thames! Bottomless handmade boats race down the dried up bed of the Todd River, Flintstone style. Have fun and enjoy the hilarity as you watch seemingly sane people race in bottomless ‘eights’, ‘oxford tubs’, ‘bath tubs’ and ‘yachts’ through the deep coarse sand in outback Alice Springs.

Shifty Guy at Clapham Junction

Now You See Me…Now You Don’t

I was taking some general footage at Clapham Junction, when this chappie spotted me filming.

I want to know what this guy has been up to? Or is he just playing peek-a-boo?

Love the way he peers back through the window and ducks away again once the door has closed.
